Jordi Rotés

Jordi began studying classical and modern guitar at the Conservatory and at the Esclat School in Manresa; at the same time he became involved in a range of projects centred on traditional and folkloric culture.

Published two works as an interpreter with the band Aula Magna, before beginning his professional career as a sound engineer in Estudios Gema (1991-1996) and later at Capital Sound Studios (1997-1999). There, he worked with musicians such as Agustí Fernández, Alfredo Kraus, Carles Cases, Carles Santos, Joan Albert Amargos, Josep M. Bardagí and Montserrat Caballé.

In 1999 he founded his own company, JART sonorització, based on sound engineering and live recording. Some projects that JART has collaborated in recently include
Toti Soler, Jordi Savall, Miquel Gil, Pau Vallvé, El Pont d'Arcalís.

Marc Marcé

Originally from Igualada, Marc began to take an interest in sound engineering from a very age when he went to orchestral concerts with his grandfather. His parents quickly decided to enrol him at the Conservatory.

Marc did not follow in the footsteps of his fellow compatriots at the history or engineering faculties; instead, he decided to sign up for a sound engineering course. Thus began a series of summers sweating the JART shirt off his back at some of the best music events throughout the country.

He later joined ESMUC, where he specialised in Sonology and began to make recordings of students and teachers. At the same time, he started to collaborate on some projects at Kay Studios in Manresa.

Marc currently combines the world of show business with sound engineering and recording.

Roger Tarragó

Roger studied modern music at the School of Music in Igualada. He then left music behind in order to focus more on sound engineering and recording, both live and in studio. He embarked on a series of academic courses, although he never lost a fascination for the Arts, which later prompted him to study Philosophy at the University of Barcelona.

His profile is as heterogeneous and diverse as the areas of sound engineering and recording in which he has worked. He has collaborated on projects with theatre companies as well as musical ensembles like Thursday Paella, Las Migas, Xazzar, Angelina and the Modern, amongst others. Not forgetting, of course, that he has been working with JART since 2001.

Ricard Navarro

Ricard was initiated into the field of music when he studied music theory and piano at the Conservatorio Municipal de Música d'Igualada (1986-1993).

A few years later, motivated by the possibility of perfecting his expertise in sound engineering to aid experimentation in his own music he decided to improve his training with Microfusa, a course specialising in sound recording (2002-2004).

In 2005 he began working with JART, which enables him to enjoy the high artistic quality of some of the best musicians in the country on a regular basis.

Currently, he also works in IT while studying Psychology.
